Available year round but more abundant from May to October (Ref. 12075). Reported from Hoi Ha Wan (Ref. 94637, 119713); and the Cape D'Aguilar Marine Reserve (Ref. 129329). Juveniles were also reported from Starfish Bay (Ref. 125515, 125536). Few individuals were recorded from a submarine cave in Conic Island (Ref. 125576).
